Business Analyst with derivatives
The incumbent is responsible for conducting research and analysis leading to the definition of requirements, testing, project management and implementation processes to assist in the resolution of complex business problems for Global Wholesale Services – derivative operations. The incumbent is also responsible for participating in projects for new systems or enhancements, training of users, and provision of ongoing support for all users in the business lines supported.
The desired candidate will be responsible for:
- Independently resolve complex, multi-faceted problems to meet the business needs of Global Wholesale Services Derivatives Operations and their internal and external customers, by applying financial and technological knowledge to the design and implementation of systems solutions. This may involve rapid prototyping, with requirements and solutions developed on an iterative basis. To provide interim deliverables until a final production solution is created.
- Providing business support to all business units that uses the system, which includes Front, Middle and Back Office. This includes user support, ad hoc system and MIS queries, user training, assistance in the design and implementation of systems enhancements.
- Ensuring that management is kept informed and that problems and issues are escalated appropriately.
- Providing business analysis services in regards to the project management life cycle by participating in system implementation processes. This includes defining business requirements and processes, developing test strategies and test cases, performing testing, defining user procedures and workflows, developing conversion and implementation strategies, verifying conversion, providing user documentation, providing user training, and providing post-implementation support.
- Assisting in providing solutions to complex business problems with modifications and adaptations throughout the project.
- Facilitating the client relationship, negotiating, monitoring, and updating internal services to ensure optimal results for the duration of the project.
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong time management skills, along with well developed analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Experience with working in a task and goal oriented team focus environment.
- A degree in business, commerce, economics and other related discipline.
Preference will be given to individuals with a financial background and operations/technology experiences in derivatives.
